What happens when you trap a group of high school art students in a room full of junk for SIX HOURS?
Why, they make art OF COURSE. duhhhhh. Well, this is what happened to me. On tuesday. In the ceramics room. For six hours. On tuesday. For six hours. In the ceramics room.....
I know it sounds like I'm complaining but it was actually a really rewarding experience and it was really fun. I got my "creative juices" flowing FO SHO.
Diane Lou, our guest artist, was SO helpful and SO nice. She brought a bunch of her own junk, which was really great because I dont think we would have had enough to work with if he hadn't. But this is what I made:
I think you should leave it just the way it is. But, if you want to add something, consider a tiny golden apply hanging off one of the upper branches. But really, I like it the way it is!

It looks really nice, I like how the tree looks like it's complete and not broken. Also I like how the back is not a square it makes your eyes cross back and forth across the piece, which is great!

I personally like it with just the two boxes containing the tree... but maybe thats just me?
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw it I was looking at it upside down and it reminded me of a wishbone and I thought it was really cool. Right side up it is even cooler though haha. I really love how the tree is so perfectly white. Personally I think you should leave it as it is
ReplyDeletei gotta say, i really love the tree, and how it continues through the boxes but is still framed inside them. plus it really contrasts off the background.
